About the position

As a Senior Product Designer on the Global Grants UX team at Workday, you will leverage your extensive experience in designing complex web applications to create intuitive workflows that simplify the management of people, compliance, and funding. Your role will involve a deep understanding of the domain, allowing you to transform intricate tasks into seamless and enjoyable user experiences. You will be responsible for leading the product design for a significant area within our Financial Management suite, overseeing the entire design process from initial research and product definition in collaboration with product management and UX research, to concept development, detailed design crafting, prototyping, testing, and working closely with engineering for implementation. This position offers the opportunity to work on both new and established products, enabling you to think strategically about the broader product landscape while delivering tangible results to customers and end-users. You will collaborate with fellow designers to enhance the quality of your designs and contribute to their growth as well. As an ambassador for UX, you will mentor other designers and advocate for a strong design culture at Workday, helping to define global design patterns and UX best practices. Your role will require you to articulate a clear product design vision through compelling storytelling and presentations, ensuring alignment with product and engineering teams to influence the roadmap and support implementation. You will need to possess a strong product sense and an understanding of how to deliver a well-crafted product experience, while also being open to learning and collaborating with a diverse team of UX professionals, engineers, and product managers. A solid knowledge of the latest design tools, particularly Figma, is essential, along with a willingness to adapt to new tools as needed. A degree in human-computer interaction, human factors, psychology, or a related field is preferred, and you should be prepared to engage in a flexible hybrid work environment, spending 50% of your time in the Vancouver Workday office.
