About the position

As a Senior Product Designer at Illumio, you will leverage user-centered design methods to create industry-leading user experiences for security products. This role involves collaborating with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop innovative design solutions that meet customer needs and business goals. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from concept to execution, while advocating for design-centered changes and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide creative solutions.
  • Own the design experience from concept to execution, utilizing strong interaction design skills.
  • Work closely with the UX team to foster ideas, maintain design consistency, and leverage user research to drive decisions.
  • Communicate user experience through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes using agile methodologies.
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product updates.
  • Advocate for prioritization of design-centered changes and improvements.
  • Help recruit, retain, and develop design talent at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of User Experience Product Design experience.
  • Ability to take customer needs from initial concepts through iterations to final execution.
  • Strong communication skills to present work and findings to stakeholders.
  • Experience shipping products and understanding the process from idea to reality.
  • Ability to create stunning interfaces with excellent attention to detail, including responsiveness and accessibility.
  • Experience with design systems and knowledge of when to handcraft components.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or OmniGraffle.
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing for enterprise software and large-scale web applications.
