About the position

The Senior Product Development Manager will lead the product development team at Ground Up International, overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to commercialization. This role focuses on driving innovation to meet market demands and requires a strong understanding of consumer preferences and industry trends. The ideal candidate will possess proven product management experience and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify market opportunities, consumer needs, and competitive threats to inform product roadmap and portfolio strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and development.
  • Lead the development of new products from concept to commercialization, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Conduct market research, consumer insights analysis, and feasibility studies to guide product concept development and decision-making.
  • Optimize product mix, pricing strategies, and merchandising tactics to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes and standards to ensure product safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement rigorous testing, inspection, and validation procedures to maintain product quality and integrity.
  • Analyze product performance metrics, sales trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address product performance issues and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Product Management, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in product development, product management, or related roles, preferably in the consumer goods or retail industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully launching new products and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
