About the position

The Senior Product Development Manager at Mercy is responsible for creating integrated and holistic solutions that address consumer needs. This role emphasizes continual optimization of the product development process and the introduction of new products annually. The manager will transition the focus from a Mercy-centric to a consumer-centric approach, requiring adaptability and the ability to guide others through changes in the industry and organization. The position aligns with Mercy's mission and values, ensuring compassionate care and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated and holistic solutions to meet consumer needs.
• Optimize and update the product development process.
• Initiate and manage new product concepts from idea to commercialization.
• Ensure a portfolio of new concepts/products is available annually.
• Transition the focus from a Mercy-centric to a consumer-centric mindset.
• Guide team members and peers through industry and departmental transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in business, marketing, or a similar area of study.
• Master's degree in Business Administration preferred.
• 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, planning, channel strategy, consumer product design, or business development.
• Proven track record in segmentation, targeting, positioning, branding, product development, and pricing strategies.
• Minimum of 2 years experience supervising and mentoring a team.
• Product development or healthcare marketing experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Planning and organization skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to interpret market data and recommend actions.
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple responsibilities.
