About the position

The Senior Product Development Manager at Mercy is a pivotal role responsible for developing integrated, holistic, and seamless solutions that cater to the expressed needs of consumers. This position emphasizes continual optimization and updates to the product development process, ensuring that new product concepts are effectively transitioned from concept to consumer. The manager will oversee a portfolio of products, ensuring that a variety of new concepts and products are available for introduction or commercialization on an annual basis. As the organization shifts from a Mercy-centric mindset to a more consumer-centric approach, the Senior Product Development Manager will need to navigate through ambiguity and support team members and peers during this transition. This role is not only about managing products but also about embodying the mission, vision, values, and charism of Mercy in every aspect of work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated and holistic solutions to meet consumer needs.
  • Optimize and update the product development process continuously.
  • Initiate and manage new product concepts from idea to commercialization.
  • Oversee a portfolio of products to ensure annual introduction of new concepts.
  • Support the transition from a Mercy-centric to a consumer-centric operating model.
  • Mentor and supervise a team, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, marketing, or a similar area of study.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, planning, channel strategy, or business development.
  • Proven track record in segmentation, targeting, positioning, branding, and product development.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising and mentoring a team.
  • Product development or healthcare marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and capability to interpret market data.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare marketing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced technology and innovative procedures in healthcare.
