About the position

The Sr. Product Manager 1 - Technical at PayPal is responsible for defining and driving the next generation Compliance Platform to support the growing needs of the company. This role involves overseeing the product strategy and roadmap, coordinating with stakeholders, and developing business requirements. The manager will also monitor KPIs and KRIs related to financial and regulatory compliance, identify process inefficiencies, and create product requirement documents to guide the development of user experience and technology teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the next generation Compliance Platform.
  • Oversee the Compliance Platform Product Strategy and associated product roadmap.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for business requirements development and prioritization assessment.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs/KRIs for internal forums including Executive Leadership.
  • Identify process gaps, roadblocks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in compliance platform efforts.
  • Create use cases and product requirement documents for service features and functionality.
  • Gain deep understanding of customer experiences and preferences to build scalable infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience as a Product Manager, or a related occupation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience as a Product Manager, or a related occupation.
  • Experience with product requirement documents and technical design documents.
  • Knowledge of the product development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or Microsoft Visio or similar project planning tools.
  • Experience with Balsamiq or wireframing tools.
  • Ability to create mockups and wireframes to define User Experience.
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience in Software Development and Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming.
  • Knowledge of database scripts and queries using SQL.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
