About the position

As a Senior Technical Product Manager at PayPal, you will play a pivotal role in leading the observability platform team within the Developer Platform Engineering division. This position is critical in ensuring that developers have the necessary tools to debug, investigate, and trace customer interactions efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of observability solutions that enhance developer productivity and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will guide the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the observability platform, ensuring that it aligns with the overarching goals of the company and meets the needs of customers. In your day-to-day activities, you will collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and customer support teams to deliver high-quality observability solutions. You will oversee the entire product development process, from ideation and requirements gathering to execution and launch. Analyzing user feedback, market trends, and usage data will be essential to continuously improve the platform and identify new opportunities for enhancement. You will also develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, ensuring that the observability platform meets high standards of reliability, performance, and security. Monitoring and reporting on the success of product initiatives will be a key responsibility, utilizing data-driven insights to inform future development efforts.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a technical environment, preferably with a focus on observability or developer tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze data and user feedback to drive product improvements and identify new opportunities.
  • Experience in managing product roadmaps and prioritizing features based on customer needs and business goals.
