About the position

The Sr. Product Manager for Access Control Security Software Platforms will play a vital role in the development and management of access control software products at Johnson Controls. This position focuses on ensuring that the product line meets market needs and drives business growth through collaboration with cross-functional teams, market research, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to develop and enhance access control software products.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key features, enhancements, and timelines.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product concepts.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
• Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and training materials.
• Communicate product updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in access control or security products.
• Strong understanding of access control technologies and security industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
