About the position

Our client is seeking a talented Senior Product Manager / Business Analyst (BA) with a strong background in the tourism and theme park space. This role is pivotal in enhancing guest experience technology implementations, particularly focusing on access control systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust business analyst or product owner background, demonstrating experience in developing requirements and formal documentation that supports the construction of technology solutions for premier guest experiences and destinations. The position demands exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively gather technical and functional requirements, as well as capability matrices. In this role, the Senior Product Manager / BA will engage with key stakeholders, including directors, vice presidents, and C-suite executives, to lead requirements gathering meetings. The candidate must exhibit executive-level polish and the ability to interface with critical technical resources, such as solution architects, to devise comprehensive technology solutions tailored for new guest experiences, with a significant emphasis on access control. The responsibilities extend beyond requirement gathering; the individual will also oversee the successful deployment of these technology solutions, ensuring they align with the established requirements. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to innovate and develop technology solutions that significantly enhance guest experiences while collaborating with key organizational leaders. Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with senior-level executives and stakeholders.
  • Document technical and functional requirements, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and capability matrices.
  • Interface with directors, vice presidents, and C-suite executives to communicate project needs and updates.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to develop technology solutions for guest experiences.
  • Ensure successful deployment of technology solutions that meet gathered requirements.
  • Utilize advanced skills in Excel, MS Project, and Visio for project management and documentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Owner, Operational Analyst, or Project Manager.
  • Professional experience within the hospitality, tourism, or theme park industries.
  • Proven experience leading requirements gathering sessions and documenting technical and functional requirements.
  • Experience interfacing and presenting directly to stakeholders, including C-level executives, VPs, and directors.
  • Experience gathering requirements for projects related to guest experiences, theme park build-outs, or access control devices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with RFID and Magnetic Stripe technology.
  • Experience implementing guest wristband technology.
