About the position

The Senior Product Manager for Cell Therapy at Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for leading market and product strategies within the Cell Culture Cell Therapy Business Unit. This role focuses on driving innovative solutions, managing product launches, and ensuring customer satisfaction while contributing to the growth and profitability of the business segment. The position requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to identify future product requirements and enhance the customer experience in the evolving field of cell therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mid-range product strategies and guide fiscal planning for future positioning, growth, and evolution of the product platform.
  • Establish and lead strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry opinion leaders.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific externally at conferences and tradeshows as a key opinion leader (KOL) for the product line.
  • Champion successful launches through requirements, development, and commercialization, ensuring customer and financial success of new product introductions (NPIs).
  • Responsible for revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and market share objectives.
  • Serve as product champion with internal collaborators, regional teams, and directly with customers including key accounts.
  • Provide input to business unit annual strategic plan development including STRAP and AOP.
  • Champion new product directions and develop business opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction using voice of customer research.
  • Support product planning in conjunction with manufacturing and planning teams to deliver optimal service levels for products; analyze profitability and monitor key financial indicators.
  • Develop and lead strategic collaborations for product partnerships, leading cross-functional teams to implement programs.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Engineering, Business, or STEM field required.
  • 7+ years of product management, program management, or related business experience within the life sciences industry.
  • Sophisticated knowledge of global Cell Therapy markets and competitive landscape.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Products: PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI.
  • Knowledge of cell therapy market regulations and manufacturing quality standards is an advantage.
  • Experience working in environments with strong cross-functional and/or matrix collaboration.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing others without direct authority.
  • Strong financial competence and history of demonstrated customer focus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a Global Product Management role driving overall portfolio strategy and leading new product development programs and launches.
  • Product portfolio planning, product rationalization, assembling Voice of Customer, Market Research, Market Strategy, Value Based Pricing.
  • Experience in driving prioritization for initiatives that will have maximum impact.
  • Ability to build organizational relationships to effectively empower project teams and resolve issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present to all levels of an organization internally and externally.
  • Ability to think strategically by using insights & data to build a vision on long term plan.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of time.
