About the position

As a Senior Product Manager on Uber's Grocery and Retail team, you will be responsible for driving the consumer adoption and growth for our fast-moving Grocery and Retail business, helping customers "Get Anything" they want from local merchants. Uber to date has successfully helped customers get restaurant food delivered to their doors and we are very excited to bring that delight and convenience to virtually everything else. Today, we're focused on the grocery, convenience, alcohol and pharmacy verticals, but this team has broader ambitions to expand into plenty of other retail areas in the future. In this role, you will be working with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders across operations, data science, design, engineering, marketing and more by developing and implementing innovative approaches to acquire and retain customers, increase order frequency, and optimize user experience and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the product definition, strategy and long term vision for delivering a best-in-class 'Get Anything' platform.
  • Own and execute on the roadmap, partnering with key stakeholders across the company to ensure we're delivering impactful and high quality consumer experiences that drive business results.
  • Design and build scalable solutions that can serve all consumer intents and use cases across different verticals (e.g. grocery, retail, pharmacy, etc.).
  • Drive the cross-functional team (engineering, analytics, Ops, etc.) to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals for the business.
  • Leverage data and experimentation to drive growth and optimize product performance.
  • Communicate the product plans, benefits and results to key stakeholders including the Regional Operations and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience delivering successful and innovative consumer facing products.
  • Familiarity with systems thinking, analytics and experiment design, and a solid understanding of software development processes and concepts.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for internal and external advocacy and collaboration.
  • Research and data-driven mindset with experience in defining objectives and key results (OKRs) and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Customer obsession with a knack for taking on complex product challenges and finding elegant solutions.
  • A 'Driver' mindset, biased toward action, great collaboration, and pushing toward clarity and delivery.
  • A high bar across the board for contributions, collaboration, and product quality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Entrepreneurial experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of business performance metrics.
  • Growth experience with a track record of delivering highly successful and innovative 0-to-1 products.
  • A Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably including hands-on design or software development experience.
  • A true passion for Uber's mission, our products, and the company's hybrid technology/operations nature.
