About the position

As the Sr. Product Manager for AI Observability at Databricks, you will be responsible for developing and executing the product roadmap that enables customers to understand and optimize their data and AI operations. This role involves engaging with customers to gather requirements, defining long-term product strategies, and coordinating product activities from vision to implementation. You will work closely with engineering teams and various internal stakeholders to ensure the success of the product, ultimately helping large enterprises streamline their operations and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap for AI Observability, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
  • Engage with customers to understand their challenges and gather requirements for product development.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build and launch features that enhance observability for data and AI operations.
  • Drive integration with popular tools and services in the data warehousing ecosystem.
  • Work with product marketing to promote product launches through various channels such as blog posts and webinars.
  • Define and measure OKRs for the product to track success and impact.
  • Improve customer workload efficiency by prioritizing and developing features that reduce operating costs and time for ETL and machine learning workflows.

Requirements

  • Product Management experience with a focus on user experience improvement.
  • Strong written communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
  • Ability to lead customer conversations and write Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
  • Experience working with large enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Basic data analysis skills, including SQL or Python, and experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Heap.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams within the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience with data observability tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of machine learning workflows and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, FinOps, SecOps, and AIOps practices.
