The Digital Payments group at Fifth Third Bank is seeking a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the execution of online solutions strategy and product management/development. This position is crucial in ensuring that the bank's digital payment offerings meet the needs of both business and consumer customers. The successful candidate will work closely with existing Product Management and Product Development teams to develop online channels that cater to the diverse needs of customers and businesses served by the Payments organization. Additionally, this role involves the development of a long-term product and technical roadmap for the online portal and payments solutions. As a liaison between various departments within the bank, including Sales, Operations, IT, Legal, Audit, and Risk, the individual will play a pivotal role in facilitating communication and collaboration across these areas. The responsibilities include overseeing the product development lifecycle, identifying and prioritizing product development opportunities, and ensuring that products are deployed to market within established time frames and budgets. The role also encompasses pricing, profitability, packaging, promotion, and margin management, as well as providing consultative support on projects related to product introduction to the market. Furthermore, the position requires vendor selection and relationship management, including contract negotiations with business partners in Digital Payments and Operations. The individual will oversee development stakeholders, ensuring compliance with risk and operational standards. Market research and analysis are also key components of this role, which includes maintaining knowledge of current and evolving concepts, practices, processes, laws, regulations, and technologies in the payments market. Conducting market segment studies, understanding competition, analyzing client buying habits, and participating in user group discussions are essential tasks. The candidate will also be expected to engage in thought leadership by participating in industry forums, publishing articles, and presenting joint business cases.
