About the position

The Sr. Product Manager at LG Electronics is responsible for evaluating business opportunities to optimize the product portfolio through market analysis, understanding customer needs, and leveraging company product capabilities. This role involves close collaboration with product development, leading consumer research projects, and managing product exhibits and demos. The position requires a strategic approach to product management, focusing on expanding market share and addressing customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio.
• Analyze targeted markets, market trends, new technology, and customer business issues.
• Work closely with product development to create and validate early product definitions with customers.
• Develop project plans to address customer needs and expand market share.
• Participate in consumer research projects related to product usage and performance.
• Meet with key customers to identify product line needs for the US market.
• Lead planning and execution of product exhibits and demos for launch and press events.
• Manage an image quality test lab, including ordering and tracking evaluation samples.
• Summarize reports and analyze strengths and weaknesses to report to management.
• Define methods for product review and evaluation by popular review sites and publications.
• Write test documents, technical reports, and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Involve in quarterly product road map committees to plan future product states.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 10 years of experience in high-tech, competitive intelligence, product management, strategic marketing, or strategy/management consulting.
• Experience with delivering complex websites or consumer electronics products.
• Mobile Application and/or start-up experience is a plus.
• Proficient in all MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
