About the position

As a Senior Product Manager for K12 Curriculum and Content Strategy at Cengage Group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy that aligns with the K12 Product Strategy. This role involves leading a team to create curriculum-oriented content, managing content development and acquisition guidelines, and ensuring that the content meets the needs of educators and students. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver integrated product solutions and utilize product analytics to enhance the instructional impact of the content.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a content strategy that supports the K12 Product Strategy.
  • Lead the SME team in the development of curriculum-oriented content for classroom use.
  • Create content development and acquisition guidelines to manage curation and appropriateness.
  • Conduct market research to inform product strategy and bring the voice of the customer to cross-functional teams.
  • Use product analytics to advise strategy and improve understanding of content usage and curriculum coverage.
  • Partner with the Sr. Product Manager, K12 Product Strategy to support a platform strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in technology-powered solutions as a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.
  • Background in K-12 education and expertise in curriculum development.
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to contextualize large data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with multiple constraints.
  • Exceptional ability to present evidence-based proposals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Analytics, SQL, and/or Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with search optimization, including indexing.
  • Experience in curriculum development at scale.
  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Pragmatic Marketing training.
