About the position

The Product Manager role at Vanguard's Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) focuses on supporting the Personal Investor Division. This position is responsible for driving efficiencies and standardization within the Marketing product families, ensuring alignment and execution of priorities through collaboration with business partners and senior leadership. The role involves managing product prioritization, developing reporting strategies, and enhancing the user experience through technical product management.

Responsibilities

  • Own yearly, quarterly, and sprint prioritization sessions with business partners.
  • Implement value-based prioritization framework and demand rationalization across the product portfolio.
  • Manage a suite of critical reports and dashboards, evolving reporting products to support the Marketing business.
  • Lead technical product management activities for multiple technical products with cross-divisional impact.
  • Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create best practices that enhance client experience.
  • Coach technical product teams towards best practices and oversee their support of messaging and customer outreach.
  • Facilitate strong business support by promoting a consistent approach to decisions and client propositions.
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of new technical products with cross-divisional impact.
  • Define and analyze technical markets, developing detailed product features and requirements.
  • Employ qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to improve user experience.
  • Participate in ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
  • Drive engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
  • Minimum of eight years related business experience.
  • Three years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.
