About the position

The Sr. Product Manager for Observability & Governance at Capital One is responsible for leading product strategies that enhance the engineering experience through innovative technology solutions. This role involves collaborating with various teams to define and execute a product roadmap, focusing on customer needs and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will engage with engineers and stakeholders to drive product development and operationalize product metrics, ultimately improving the observability and monitoring strategy within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Define, execute, and deliver a product roadmap and product strategy with a customer-focused, data-driven approach.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of Capital One's observability and monitoring strategy to enhance the engineer and SRE experience.
  • Engage directly with customers to identify new capabilities and define product features, collaborating closely with development teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams to bring products to life.
  • Drive the product management practice within the organization, setting expectations and commitments.
  • Operationalize product metrics and build business cases for new investments.
  • Influence senior stakeholders to utilize products and communicate the outcomes to strengthen investment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital product management, product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management.
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
