About the position

The Senior Product Manager at PayNearMe will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company's payment platforms, focusing on executing product strategy through integrations and management across payment systems. This role requires a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, particularly in bill payment processes and technologies, with a strong emphasis on money movement within the ACH network. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise, payments experience, and product management skills to drive the development and optimization of payment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the champion for the ACH product, promoting its vision, benefits, and goals within the team and across the organization
  • Drive the strategy and development of money movement solutions, focusing on end-to-end delivery of supporting ACH as a funding method
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and bridge the gap between business needs and technical tasks by collaborating with other product teams, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Guide technological and architecture changes and help make informed decisions about technical solutions
  • Communicate the product development roadmap across agile teams
  • Define and document user stories that will guide technical product requirements and implementation
  • Own the organization of the backlog and work proactively with Engineering management to ensure proper prioritization
  • Lead refinement and planning sessions to ensure teams have adequately planned work
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop products that meet business goals and customer needs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand team needs and translate them into requirements for engineering teams
  • Engage with external developers, customers, and banking partners to gather feedback and requirements that influence the development roadmap
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams to launch ACH products and support the full go-to-market process for product rollout
  • Contribute to documentation and update funds flow
  • Stay educated on ACH practices, rules, and industry developments

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management
  • Knowledge of payment processing mechanisms
  • Deep understanding of ACH processing and the flow of funds within the ACH network
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to leverage data in making informed product decisions
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities, with experience guiding development teams and managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality product documentation
  • Intrinsic curiosity to dive into complex problems and review solutions
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
  • Familiarity with accounting processes and financial events
