About the position

The Senior Product Manager at Rakuten Rewards will play a pivotal role in enhancing the search experience for millions of users. This position involves leading the development of innovative features that resonate with consumers, driving product strategy, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful product launches. The role requires a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous adaptation to market trends and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering and Design leads to set the strategy, vision, and product roadmap for the on-site search experience.
  • Build effective relationships with key partners in Digital Strategy and Marketing teams for roadmap prioritization.
  • Identify, define, and track key metrics to measure the success of launched products and create a feedback loop for continuous improvement.
  • Drive customer research, behavioral research, and A/B testing to understand trends and user behavior.
  • Continuously adapt and iterate on the search experience to meet evolving consumer needs and market trends.
  • Engage with market trends and conduct evaluations of comparable product offerings to refine product strategy.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the product development process.

Requirements

  • Expert in breaking down open-ended challenges with structured thought processes and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple work streams with projects in various phases from ideation through delivery while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong communication skills to present new concepts to internal stakeholders and executives.
  • Ability to generate a high volume of novel opportunities and efficiently assess their merit.
  • Strong analytical skills to define the right metrics for measuring product impact on customers and the business.
  • Experience working with product teams, engineers, and designers to define and launch new features.
  • Prior experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 5+ years experience in a product, software development or engineering role.
  • 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in retail/eCommerce is a strong plus.
