About the position

The Sr. Technical Product Manager (Sr. PM-T) at Amazon Data Services, Inc. is responsible for creating and driving the development of advanced data center security products and technologies. This role involves engaging with customers to understand their security needs, defining product requirements, and managing the product lifecycle from conception to deployment. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of security solutions that enhance AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal and external Amazon customers to capture critical security needs.
• Identify specific product requirements and create a product vision.
• Own the product development roadmap for data center security infrastructure.
• Coordinate between teams to develop business cases and define product prioritization.
• Drive continuous advancements in data center security designs and communicate technical direction to management.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle from conception to deployment and eventual deprecation.
• Develop product features and strategies to reduce security risks to AWS.
• Work independently in a high-pressure environment and exercise sound judgment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 5+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience

Nice-to-haves

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
• Experience in engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy
• 5+ years experience with security devices or technologies such as cameras, video management systems, access control, or perimeter intrusion detection systems
• 5+ years experience in network connectivity to new and existing products
