About the position

The Sr. Technical Product Manager (Sr. PM-T) is responsible for creating and driving the latest generations of data center security products and technologies from concept to global implementation. This role involves engaging with advanced infrastructure solutions and leading the Security Product Management aspect for the development and deployment of advanced security solutions, ensuring that AWS services continue to innovate and meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with internal and external Amazon customers and support teams to gain insights and capture critical security needs for the business today and in the future.
  • Utilize insights to identify specific product requirements, create a product vision, and own the product development roadmap for critical segments of the data center security infrastructure.
  • Coordinate between multiple teams to develop compelling business cases to substantiate business value, define product prioritization, and outline budget and resources required to implement product roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous advancements and improvements within data center security designs, and communicate technical direction to Sr. Management.
  • Own and drive the complete product lifecycle from idea conception through implementation and wide scale deployment to eventual deprecation.
  • Develop product features and deployment strategies to reduce security risk to AWS.
  • Work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • 5+ years experience with one or more of the following security devices or technologies: cameras, video management systems, access control or perimeter intrusion detection systems
  • 5+ years experience in network connectivity to new and existing products
