About the position

The Sr. Product Manager - Tech for Hiring Software Delivery at Amazon is responsible for driving the technical continuous improvement program and managing special projects within the organization. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and maximizing organizational impact through effective product and service management, goal achievement, and business change management. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and teams to implement mechanisms that improve decision-making and information flow across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive HSD's technical continuous improvement program by partnering with leaders of our 400+ SDE team, across other PXT tech teams, and product teams.
  • Develop a roadmap for technical and KTLO reduction initiatives within Architecture, Delivery Excellence, Operational Excellence, and People.
  • Develop mechanisms to measure success and adoption of the continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
  • Lead change management with stakeholders on business operations processes and procedures to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop deep knowledge of business operations tools used on a regular basis including applications such as Quicksite, Asana, Permissions, WorkDocs, Wiki, and Quip.
  • Maintain and deliver a cadence of cross-customer meetings, weekly, monthly, quarter business reviews, dashboards and status reports for cross-team coordination and executive update.
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to the senior management team in regular business reviews.
  • Engage with teams to correct process gaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
