About the position

The Sr. Product Manager - Tech at Amazon is responsible for leading the Rhythm of the Business (ROB) mechanisms and special projects within the Hiring Software Delivery team. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring effective implementation of technology and strategic goals across the organization. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize business operations and deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

  • Drive HSD's technical continuous improvement program by partnering with leaders of our 400+ SDE team, across other PXT tech teams, and product teams.
  • Develop a roadmap for technical and KTLO reduction initiatives within Architecture, Delivery Excellence, Operational Excellence, and People.
  • Develop mechanisms to measure success and adoption of the continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
  • Lead change management with stakeholders on business operations processes and procedures to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop deep knowledge of business operations tools used on a regular basis including applications such as Quicksite, Asana, Permissions, WorkDocs, Wiki, and Quip.
  • Maintain and deliver a cadence of cross-customer meetings, weekly, monthly, quarter business reviews, dashboards and status reports for cross-team coordination and executive update.
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to the senior management team in regular business reviews.
  • Engage with teams to correct process gaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
