About the position

The Sr. Product Manager for Optimization Services at Amazon is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for products that optimize supply and demand management for Amazon Devices. This role involves ensuring that inputs, algorithms, and processes are effectively executed to make optimal decisions regarding inventory and transportation, while also managing the organization to achieve both short-term and long-term goals. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including customers and technical teams, to enhance product delivery and drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for optimization services products.
• Ensure effective execution of inputs, algorithms, tech stacks, and processes for optimal decision-making.
• Manage the organization to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
• Interface with customers across Planning, Logistics, and Product organizations.
• Build partnerships with end consumers of services and technical teams.
• Define long-term strategic vision and create product roadmap.
• Interact with technical teams and conduct testing with end users.
• Communicate with senior leadership regarding product strategies and updates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Experience managing technical products or online services.
• Experience representing and advocating for critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight.
• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
• Familiarity with system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
