About the position

The Sr. Product Manager - Technical for Alexa Audio will lead the development of audio-related features on Alexa, focusing on enhancing the global audio experience for music, podcasts, radio, and audiobooks. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams and external partners to create innovative consumer-facing products while leveraging Generative AI and LLM capabilities. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to synthesize complex technologies into user-friendly applications that resonate with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build audio-related features on Alexa, focusing on new content creation and enablement.
  • Drive product creation across multiple audio media types, international locales, and devices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, science, design, business intelligence, operations, finance, and executive teams to bring features to market.
  • Analyze service and business metrics to inform product decisions and strategies.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and problems, synthesizing feedback into actionable insights.
  • Write PRFAQs, BRDs, and other documentation to support product development and communication.
  • Mentor and learn from other experts within the company and the tech community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with feature delivery and understanding tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Experience representing and advocating for critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
