About the position

The Alexa Customer Journeys team at Amazon is seeking a Sr. Product Manager - Technical who is passionate about creating innovative and personalized experiences using Generative AI. This role is pivotal in shaping how Alexa interacts with customers, ensuring that every user receives tailored assistance that enhances their daily lives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with top-tier professionals across product management, engineering, marketing, and data science to define and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In this position, you will focus on reinventing the user interface (UI) and customer experience (CX) for personalization settings, such as Profile Pages and About Me sections. You will be responsible for driving clarity from ambiguity, establishing a clear vision and strategy for customer scenarios, and managing mechanisms that ensure high-quality product delivery at speed and scale. Your role will involve representing the voice of the customer through extensive research, both internal and external, to align product features with customer needs. As a horizontal product manager, you will work across multiple delivery organizations within a functional product team, playing a central role in delivering a Generative AI-based service that meets high-quality standards. You will engage deeply with engineering, applied science, and UX/design teams to advance the state of the art in personalization technology. Your success will be measured by customer satisfaction, and you will be expected to drive adoption, engagement, and experimentation of your products. This role requires a proactive approach to cut through ambiguity, apply effective mechanisms, and deliver clear requirements while maintaining close communication with senior leadership on progress.

Responsibilities

  • Drive clarity out of ambiguity and define a clear vision, strategy and requirements for customer scenarios.
  • Develop and manage mechanisms that ensure high quality at speed and scale.
  • Represent the voice of customer through external and internal research and map to customer needs.
  • Work with engineering, applied science, and UX/design to advance state of the art.
  • Drive adoption, engagement, and experimentation of your products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
