About the position

The Alexa Customer Journeys team at Amazon is seeking a Sr. Product Manager - Technical who is passionate about integrating Generative AI into customer experiences. This role is pivotal in creating personalized interactions that enhance the daily lives of Alexa users. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with top-tier professionals across product management, engineering, marketing, and data science. The focus will be on developing innovative feedback and correction experiences that make Alexa feel more personalized and useful to customers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving clarity out of ambiguity, defining a clear vision and strategy for customer scenarios, and managing mechanisms that ensure high quality at speed and scale. You will represent the voice of the customer through extensive research, mapping customer needs to product features. Collaboration with engineering, applied science, and UX/design teams will be essential to advance the state of the art in personalization. As a horizontal product role, you will span multiple delivery organizations within a functional product team, central to delivering a Generative AI-based service at a high quality bar. The right candidate will engage deeply with science and engineering teams to deliver foundational technologies and customer experiences. You will own the customer experience, with customer satisfaction as the ultimate measure of success, and will be expected to update senior leadership on progress regularly. This position requires a scrappy approach to problem-solving and the ability to drive teams with clarity in a high-velocity, high-ambiguity environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive clarity out of ambiguity and define a clear vision, strategy and requirements for customer scenarios.
  • Develop and manage mechanisms that ensure high quality at speed and scale.
  • Represent the voice of customer through external and internal research and map to customer needs.
  • Work with engineering, applied science, and UX/design to advance state of the art.
  • Drive adoption, engagement, and experimentation of your products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
