About the position

The Alexa Customer Journeys team at Amazon is seeking a Sr. Product Manager - Technical who is passionate about integrating Generative AI into customer experiences. This role is pivotal in shaping how Alexa personalizes interactions for users, ensuring that every customer receives tailored assistance that enhances their daily lives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with top-tier product, engineering, marketing, and data science professionals to innovate and improve personalization experiences. In this position, you will focus on reinventing the user interface (UI) and customer experience (CX) for personalization settings, such as Profile Pages and About Me sections. You will be responsible for defining a clear vision and strategy, driving clarity out of ambiguity, and managing the mechanisms that ensure high-quality product delivery at speed and scale. Your role will involve representing the voice of the customer through extensive research and mapping customer needs to product features. You will work closely with engineering, applied science, and UX/design teams to advance the state of the art in personalization technology. This horizontal product role spans multiple delivery organizations, making it essential for you to engage deeply with various teams to deliver high-quality, Generative AI-based services. Your success will be measured by customer satisfaction, and you will be expected to update senior leadership on progress regularly. This role requires a scrappy, results-oriented individual who can navigate high-velocity and ambiguous problem spaces effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Drive clarity out of ambiguity and define a clear vision, strategy, and requirements for customer scenarios.
  • Develop and manage mechanisms that ensure high quality at speed and scale.
  • Represent the voice of the customer through external and internal research and map to customer needs.
  • Work with engineering, applied science, and UX/design to advance state of the art.
  • Drive adoption, engagement, and experimentation of your products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
