About the position

The Sr. Product Manager Technical at Amazon Ads is responsible for leading the vision, technical design, and roadmap for significant portions of the advertising business. This role involves coordinating complex product initiatives across various internal teams and stakeholders, prioritizing roadmap features, and defining new capabilities through product and business requirements documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. They will work closely with engineering and other teams to ensure that products meet customer needs and drive optimal performance for advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the vision, technical design, and roadmap for a significant portion of the advertising business.
  • Coordinate complex product initiatives across internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Prioritize roadmap features and define new capabilities through product and business requirements documents.
  • Author documents relating to product life cycle including product vision, roadmap, business requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Translate complex business requirements into functional designs or specifications.
  • Drive product development across teams through business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
  • Coordinate and manage comprehensive user acceptance testing including creation of test cases.
  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate risks at multiple levels.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering as an advocate for the needs of customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight.
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
