About the position

The Amazon Payment Acceptance & Experience Team is responsible for how Amazon's customers pay on Amazon's sites and through Amazon's services around the globe. In this role, you will collaborate with major players in the payments industry to deliver best-in-class customer payment experiences while driving change in the industry. The ideal candidate for this position is a creative and customer-obsessed individual who is highly analytical and comfortable diving into data. You should possess strong technical and business judgment, a knack for operating in ambiguous problem spaces, and a demonstrated ability to influence across teams. As a Product Manager at Amazon Payments, you will embody the spirit of entrepreneurship. You will be curious about our customers' problems and passionate about listening to them. You will own your product's performance, often wearing multiple hats or leading cross-functional teams to bring a product to life. This role requires a strong comfort with data and attention to detail, the ability to work independently and with primary stakeholders to solve complex large-scale issues, and the skill to manage both with and without authority. You will need to design solutions to various problems and possess excellent communication skills at all levels. Your day-to-day activities will include partnering with internal engineering leaders to define the right technical solution, understanding product integration gaps, bugs, and issues with external partners, liaising with stakeholders in North America and Europe to define customization and scaling plans across regions, and providing leadership updates through established mechanisms. This role will be part of the PAE Cost to Serve Product team, which is responsible for coordinating efforts across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk Prevention, Marketing, and Data Science teams. You will focus on initiatives to reduce bad debt across payment acceptance and expansion products and optimize cost of payments controllership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal engineering leaders to define the right technical solution.
  • Understand product integration gaps, bugs, and issues with external partners.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in North America and Europe to define customization and scaling plans across regions.
  • Provide leadership updates through established mechanisms.
  • Own product performance and drive roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Manage both with and without authority to solve complex issues.
  • Design solutions to various problems and communicate effectively at all levels.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end to end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight.
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
