About the position

The Sr. Product Manager, Technical for AWS Event Technology will lead the development and evolution of the AWS Events mobile app, focusing on enhancing customer engagement through innovative technology. This role involves driving product strategy, managing the technical roadmap, and ensuring the app meets the needs of millions of users globally, with a strong emphasis on a GenAI-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple product lifecycle aspects of the AWS Events mobile app, from 0 to 1 conception to launch and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, marketing, and event operators to define and prioritize business needs.
• Analyze user behavior, gather feedback, and utilize data-driven insights to inform product decisions.
• Manage the app's technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with AWS event strategies and leveraging the latest in mobile and cloud technologies, focusing on a GenAI-first approach.
• Drive the adoption of AWS services within the app, showcasing our technologies in action.
• Oversee the app's performance, security, and scalability to handle high-traffic events like re:Invent.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across AWS to ensure the app meets diverse event needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
• Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time.
