About the position

At PayPal, we believe in building merchant and developer focused products to unlock the next phase of growth in Commerce. We are seeking a talented Senior Product Manager passionate about building best in class payment experiences for our merchants. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our legacy API based merchant integration and for devising a successful merchant migration and ramp strategy to the latest integrations, globally. The merchant success team is responsible for crafting the strategy to help our checkout merchants be successful over the entirety of their lifecycle by using PayPal's best-in-class product suite. The team develops merchant segment specific integration products to grow existing merchant verticals as well as to enable new and untapped verticals. The team also acts as a key liaison between internal product teams, GTM and sales orgs to ensure all our products are best suited for the merchants needs and offer a consistent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize & Define best ways for merchants to enable payment methods such as PayPal and Venmo across all our integration platforms.
  • Coordinate requirements across multiple PM's within the Merchant Integration organization who own APIs & SDKs, PM's who manage the consumer experience, and other key stakeholders across PayPal.
  • Orchestrate work and distill product requirements across multiple PM's and put a cohesive developer story together to take the product through the developer GTM phases.
  • Work closely with all the Checkout PMs and the core integrations team to manage all Branded checkout consumer and merchant use cases (including error handling, Geo and vertical specific use cases and exception handling etc).
  • Prioritize and execute on the existing maintenance of the legacy platforms, including bugs, new feature requests.
  • Provide the right level of support and direction to keep the engineering team working efficiently and aligned with the overall product strategy.
  • Participate in regular cadences (stand up's, retrospective, planning meetings) and be engaged with the team throughout the product life cycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management or other relevant experience (preferably in Fintech/Payments)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience (developers, product managers and senior business leaders)
  • Deep technical understanding of APIs and SDKs based payment integrations.
