About the position

As a Product Manager in the Financial Services team at PayPal, you will play a pivotal role in strategically designing new capabilities and scaling our financial products. This position requires collaboration with other product managers, engineering, and design teams to build and execute a comprehensive product roadmap. You will leverage data from existing products to identify growth opportunities and expand our target audiences. Your responsibilities will include managing request intake, feature scoping, and participating in agile ceremonies to drive the execution and launch of new features. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your area, balancing customer desires with business requirements, legal and compliance considerations, growth, and monetization strategies. The Financial Services team is integral to the SMB & Financial Services organization, focusing on PayPal's end-to-end product management for financial services products both in the US and globally. Our mission is to empower consumers to easily access, manage, and grow their money through simple, personalized, and secure experiences. The product suite includes offerings such as Direct Deposit, Cash a Check, Money Management, and debit cards for consumers and merchants across various countries, positively impacting millions of consumers daily. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team to create and launch innovative mobile-first experiences. You will analyze PayPal's strategic and competitive position in the market to develop a product strategy and roadmap for your domain. Your day-to-day activities will involve defining and analyzing key performance metrics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, market, and launch products, and utilizing A/B testing, analytics, market research, and usability studies to inform product decisions. Your ability to articulate trade-offs of product roadmap features will be crucial in driving the success of our financial services products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team in creating and launching innovative mobile-first experiences.
  • Understand PayPal's strategic and competitive position in the market to develop a product strategy and roadmap for your domain.
  • Analyze, quantify, and articulate trade-offs of product roadmap features.
  • Identify, design, experiment, and iterate on initiatives leveraging usability testing, data, and market research.
  • Define and analyze key performance metrics to support and inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, market, and launch product.
  • Use A/B Testing, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of consumer web or mobile product management experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful large-scale mobile products.
  • Comfortable using data and analytics to inform product hypotheses and decisions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional groups and drive action in high-growth environments.
  • Deep empathy and appreciation for customer needs.
  • Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Strong sense of visual design and detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Payments, Banking, or Consumer Financial Services is a plus.
