About the position

The Group Product Manager combines creative thinking, analytics, and a deep market understanding to develop and manage innovative consumer products for a globally recognized health & wellness brand. This position is a hybrid role and should be local to the Metro Detroit area as onsite work is required with some flexibility to work from home. In this role, you will manage the product development process from concept through successful launch by collaborating closely with industrial and graphic designers, engineering, sales, finance, operations, overseas manufacturing, and other product development team members. Additionally, you will develop and manage products and programs across all trade channels, including mass retail and online. This includes conducting competitive studies of relevant products and categories, as well as utilizing analytical capabilities with syndicated market performance data such as retail POS, NPD, and Nielsen. You will seek out and apply knowledge of new trends and innovations to identify not only new products but also opportunities within packaging, merchandising, and other communication vehicles. Monitoring category performance to ensure sales volume and profit goals are met will also be a key responsibility.
