About the position

The Sr. Product Manager at Super Micro Computer will lead the development and management of server chassis products, ensuring timely product launches and delivery. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create competitive, application-optimized products while overseeing the entire product life cycle from conception to mass production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the product life cycle of server chassis products, including product development and mass production phases.
• Create and present chassis product roadmap.
• Work closely with engineering teams to review product specifications and designs for chassis mechanical, thermal, and system architecture.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with overseas ODM vendors on server chassis product design and development, including design reviews and tooling fabrication.
• Coordinate with marketing and sales for new chassis product launches and promotions.
• Utilize project management and technical leadership to drive server chassis business and promote products to global sales and customers.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in engineering discipline is strongly desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in server or IT hardware industry is preferred.
• Product development and management experience in server chassis mechanical, thermal, and system design.
• Strong knowledge of server system architecture, chassis, hardware, and applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage from technical details to big picture.
• Strong communication skills in speaking, writing, and presenting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly paced environment.
