About the position

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in driving awareness and adoption of AWS Skill Builder, our online learning center designed to revolutionize how organizations and individuals enhance their cloud skills. This position is not just about marketing; it’s about steering the direction of a new business that has the potential to impact millions of professionals globally. You will be responsible for the entire product marketing strategy for the digital product portfolio, which includes digital subscriptions, game-based learning, labs, and other hands-on applications. Your role will require you to develop a deep understanding of our customers, including their buying behaviors and motivations, to effectively position and message our offerings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product management to ensure a seamless user experience and compelling training content. Utilizing customer insights, you will craft messaging that resonates with our target audiences and work with various teams, including sales and marketing, to execute comprehensive marketing plans aimed at growing the business. Your ability to articulate the value of our solutions to both prospects and existing customers will be crucial. This is a highly visible position that requires interaction with all levels of the company, and you will be joining a collaborative team focused on delivering significant impact in the cloud education space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS B2B and/or B2C marketing, with a proven track record of driving results for a product portfolio. You should be passionate about technology and customer experience, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to navigate challenges to deliver results. This role is based in either Seattle, WA or Santa Clara, CA, with relocation offered for these locations only within the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer research to inform marketing deliverables and influence the product roadmap.
  • Identify the target audience, buyer personas, and buyer journeys for your product offerings.
  • Collaborate with product teams to distill features and benefits of major launches into positioning and messaging.
  • Engage with marketing teams to develop marketing launch strategies and focused marketing programs that drive product adoption and usage.
  • Develop core go-to-market information for your product offerings, as well as presentations, customer stories, videos, and webpages.
  • Work effectively across the organization with groups such as product management, marketing, sales, and launch management teams to achieve joint business goals.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
  • Experience communicating results to stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • Experience prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
  • Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
  • Experience with B2B and/or B2C SaaS business.
