The Senior Product Marketing Manager at Yahoo Mail will play a pivotal role in driving the success of one of the most widely used consumer inboxes in the world. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that align with Yahoo's business objectives, ensuring that the product not only meets but exceeds user expectations. In this role, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will conduct thorough market research to gain insights into customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. This information will be crucial in identifying opportunities and threats that can impact product adoption and overall success. The candidate will design and execute growth marketing campaigns that effectively acquire and engage customers, utilizing various channels including paid social, digital marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), and more. The position also involves tracking and reporting on key performance marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will leverage data-driven insights to optimize strategies and maximize return on investment (ROI). Collaboration with internal stakeholders, including consumer insights and product management teams, will be essential to integrate user feedback into marketing and product updates. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for defining clear value propositions and key messaging for Yahoo Mail products, ensuring that all marketing efforts are aligned with the overall business strategy. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to manage creative and media agencies in executing performance marketing campaigns while adhering to timelines and budget constraints. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will also develop and maintain a testing and experimentation framework to continuously improve growth tactics and strategies, ensuring that Yahoo Mail remains competitive in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product marketing strategies that align with business goals and drive product adoption.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Design and execute growth marketing campaigns to acquire and engage customers.
  • Track and report on key performance marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimize strategies, and leverage data-driven insights to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with consumer insights and product management to integrate user-experience feedback in marketing and product updates.
  • Define and articulate clear value propositions and key messaging for products.
  • Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product launches.
  • Use analytics and customer feedback to provide actionable insights and recommendations to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a testing and experimentation framework to continuously improve growth tactics and strategies.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of customer behavior, preferences, and needs to inform marketing strategy.
  • Manage creative/media agencies on execution of performance marketing campaigns and timeline/budget management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in product marketing, with a strong focus on growth marketing for a software product.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing and growth campaigns inclusive of paid social, digital, SEM, SEO, UAC, ASA, IRL and more.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, specifically Zeta, and analytics platforms.
  • Extremely organized and can manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset.
