About the position

The Senior Product Marketing Manager at Yahoo Mail will play a pivotal role in driving the success of one of the most widely used consumer inboxes in the world. This position requires a unique blend of product management expertise and growth marketing skills, aimed at enhancing product positioning and achieving ambitious growth targets. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business goals and drive product adoption. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. This insight will help identify opportunities and threats, allowing you to design and execute growth marketing campaigns that effectively acquire and engage customers. You will track and report on key performance marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimize strategies, and leverage data-driven insights to maximize return on investment (ROI). Collaboration is key in this position; you will partner with consumer insights and product management teams to integrate user-experience feedback into marketing and product updates. You will also define and articulate clear value propositions and key messaging for Yahoo Mail products, ensuring alignment and support for product launches across various internal stakeholders. Your ability to manage creative and media agencies will be crucial in executing performance marketing campaigns while adhering to timelines and budget constraints. Overall, this role is designed for a candidate who is not only experienced in product marketing but also possesses a deep understanding of customer behavior, preferences, and needs, which will inform marketing strategies and drive growth for Yahoo Mail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product marketing strategies that align with business goals and drive product adoption.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Design and execute growth marketing campaigns to acquire and engage customers.
  • Track and report on key performance marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimize strategies, and leverage data-driven insights to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with consumer insights and product management to integrate user-experience feedback in marketing and product updates.
  • Define and articulate clear value propositions and key messaging for products.
  • Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product launches.
  • Use analytics and customer feedback to provide actionable insights and recommendations to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a testing and experimentation framework to continuously improve growth tactics and strategies.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of customer behavior, preferences, and needs to inform marketing strategy.
  • Manage creative/media agencies on execution of performance marketing campaigns and timeline/budget management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in product marketing, with a strong focus on growth marketing for a software product.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing and growth campaigns inclusive of paid social, digital, SEM, SEO, UAC, ASA, IRL and more.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, specifically Zeta, and analytics platforms.
  • Extremely organized and can manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset.
