About the position

The Sr Product Marketing Manager, Inbound at Amazon Ads is responsible for shaping the go-to-market (GTM) and product strategy for the Ads business. This role involves close collaboration with Product Managers to ensure that products meet customer needs and achieve strong market fit. The Inbound PMM advocates for the customer, orchestrating GTM decisions across the organization and ensuring alignment of the product roadmap with current and future customer needs. Success in this role is measured by the ability to drive evidence-based insights, enhance customer experiences, and maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify promising opportunities for Amazon Ads products.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to align on customer research priorities that will inform the product roadmap.
  • Communicate the product vision and direction to internal and external stakeholders to drive buy-in and adoption.
  • Partner with Product Managers to recommend customer feedback prioritization and support effective Alpha/Beta testing.
  • Work closely with Outbound PMMs to ensure GTM strategies align with the product roadmap and gather customer feedback post-launch.
  • Develop single-source-of-truth documentation to enable Sales and Marketing with positioning, messaging, product availability, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau for data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables.
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in product management, GTM, marketing, or comparable roles.
  • Track record of driving successful product launches and managing the full product adoption lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and advocating for the voice of the customer.
  • Technical acumen and ability to understand complex product concepts.
  • Experience working in the advertising/marketing technology industry preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis.
  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting.
