About the position

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Thomson Reuters is responsible for developing and articulating Westlaw's messaging and value proposition tailored to different customer segments. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, enabling the manager to effectively communicate how Westlaw can address these challenges. The position involves collaboration with various marketing teams and product management to drive sales growth and enhance market success through strategic marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of integrated product marketing strategies for Westlaw in partnership with Marketing Strategy, Campaign Planning, Demand Generation, and Product Management.
  • Evangelize the Westlaw value proposition and messaging across functions to ensure accurate positioning in go-to-market campaigns and sales assets.
  • Develop and drive adoption of marketing materials such as collateral, customer case studies, and competitive analysis to support the marketing nurture cycle and buyer's journey.
  • Own the marketing launch of new Westlaw offerings into law firm and government markets.
  • Understand customers' workflows and pain points and how Westlaw addresses them.
  • Project manage mid-to-bottom funnel content creation with internal resources and external writers and agencies.
  • Build and enhance Westlaw marketing programs with responsibility for iterative improvements.
  • Monitor and interpret performance to plan for marketing initiatives and make recommendations to pivot messaging to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Distill and prioritize complex information into guiding principles and compelling marketing messages focused on customer problems.
  • Weave together Westlaw's capabilities, market trends, and customer problems into compelling stories for demand generation activities and marketing campaigns.
  • Create marketing assets, sales enablement tools, and other go-to-market deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Pragmatic Marketing framework.
  • Experience with product positioning, product management, product launches, and marketing analytics in a B2B omnichannel marketing organization.
  • Experience in the software, information services, and/or relevant industries strongly desired.
  • Previous success partnering with product strategy and leadership teams.
  • Proven history of being a results-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge or experience related to the legal industry helpful but not required.
