About the position

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for security, identity, and compliance at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the messaging and positioning that underscores how AWS services empower customers to secure their digital transformation. This position is integral to the Product Marketing team, which is dedicated to crafting clear and compelling narratives that highlight the unique value propositions of AWS's extensive portfolio of cloud services. Your work will directly influence how customers across various industries understand and leverage AWS to enhance their security posture. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product and sales teams to create engaging content that elucidates use cases and the benefits of AWS services. You will be responsible for developing audience-specific security messaging and marketing materials that resonate with potential customers. This includes creating detailed campaign project plans, defining business metrics, and establishing measurement and testing plans for marketing initiatives. Your ability to work effectively across multiple teams within AWS, including digital marketing, sales, and business development, will be crucial in achieving overarching business goals. Additionally, you will represent AWS at security conferences, showcasing how AWS is architected to be the most flexible and secure cloud computing environment available today. Your passion for technology services and your expertise in translating complex technical concepts into accessible messaging will be key to driving customer engagement and service adoption. This position is available in select locations, including Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Santa Clara, CA, and Seattle, WA, with relocation assistance offered from within the USA only.

Responsibilities

  • Develop audience-specific security messaging, marketing content, and go-to-market materials
  • Develop detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including campaign goals, messaging, calls to action, segmentation strategy, adoption campaigns, marketing distribution channels, success metrics, and campaign schedule
  • Define business metrics, measurement plan, and testing plan for related campaigns
  • Work effectively across AWS with groups such as product, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists to achieve business goals
  • Develop and support the AWS presence at security conferences helping customers learn how AWS is architected to be the most flexible and secure cloud computing environment available today

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical pre-sales, or product marketing/management with a track record in crafting messaging and positioning
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study such as computer science OR 7+ years relevant industry experience in marketing of technical products

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background
  • 5+ year's experience in product marketing for security products
  • Experience with security technologies
