About the position

As a Sr. Product Marketing Manager for Security at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that highlight AWS's capabilities in securing networks and workloads. This role involves creating compelling messaging and content to educate customers on security initiatives, such as zero trust architectures, and driving customer engagement and service adoption through effective marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop audience-specific network security messaging, marketing content, and go-to-market materials.
  • Create detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including campaign goals, messaging, calls to action, segmentation strategy, adoption campaigns, marketing distribution channels, success metrics, and campaign schedule.
  • Define business metrics, measurement plan, and testing plan for related campaigns.
  • Collaborate effectively across AWS with product, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists to achieve business goals.
  • Develop and support the AWS presence at security conferences to educate customers on AWS's secure cloud computing environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting, training, or product marketing/management.
  • 5+ years demonstrated track record in crafting positioning and marketing content.
  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study such as computer science OR 7+ years relevant industry experience in marketing of technical products.
  • Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting.
  • MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background.
  • 5+ years experience in product marketing for services targeting end users.
  • Experience with security technologies.
