About the position

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager for Security Thought Leadership at AWS is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that elevate customer security through AWS's extensive cloud services. This role involves creating compelling messaging and content that highlights AWS's unique security offerings, driving customer education on security initiatives, and collaborating with various teams to enhance brand perception and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop audience-specific security messaging, marketing content, and go-to-market materials
  • Create detailed campaign project plans, including campaign goals, messaging, and success metrics
  • Define business metrics and measurement plans for campaigns
  • Collaborate with product, digital marketing, sales, and business development teams to achieve business goals
  • Support AWS presence at security conferences to educate customers on AWS security architecture
  • Drive understanding of AWS security messaging for threat detection and incident response
  • Build use cases and solutions content
  • Develop strategic customer references and ROI deep dives on cloud security strategies
  • Write various content types including eBooks, presentations, and customer success stories
  • Execute innovative product marketing activities targeting specific audiences
  • Partner with other marketing teams to drive global marketing initiatives
  • Continuously measure and optimize product marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical marketing, pre-sales, or product marketing/management
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field, or 7+ years of relevant industry experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • MBA and/or background in computer science or engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing for security products
  • Experience with threat detection and/or XDR, EDR, CDR technologies
