About the position

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager for TMT at Amazon.com Services LLC is a pivotal role within the Global Social Marketing Organization, focusing on the development and execution of social media advertising strategies. This position is designed for a seasoned marketer with a passion for social media marketing and a proven track record in driving value through paid advertising. The primary goal of this role is to build and scale Amazon's presence on emerging social media platforms such as YouTube, Snapchat, and Reddit, thereby generating revenue and enhancing marketing strategies across these channels. In this role, the Sr. Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for these platforms. This includes working closely with external stakeholders from social media apps to develop new advertising products that can effectively scale Amazon's marketing efforts. The individual will also be tasked with launching experiments and managing performance metrics using analytical tools like Tableau. A significant aspect of the role involves crafting a detailed marketing plan that aligns with the company's objectives and gaining buy-in from senior leadership. To succeed in this fast-paced and often ambiguous environment, the candidate must possess strong digital marketing experience, particularly in A/B testing and data analysis. The ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations is crucial, as is the capacity to innovate and drive new programs from conception through to execution. The role requires a proactive approach to defining metrics and processes that standardize the management of advertising campaigns, ensuring that all initiatives are data-driven and aligned with performance goals.

Responsibilities

  • Create the go to market strategy for emerging social media apps (like Reddit, YouTube, or Snap)
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering to develop new automated programs from end to end
  • Define experiment learning agendas and optimize campaign set ups to drive meaningful insights
  • Define the metrics and processes needed to standardize the management of advertising campaigns
  • Work directly with social networks to launch new product betas and explore marketing potential
  • Design and carry out well-structured experiments (including tracking, measuring, and reporting)
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and teams to iterate on objectives and opportunities

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
  • Excellent awareness of emerging Social Media Platforms including attribution, execution, and analysis.
