About the position

In this role, you will be a member of the broad market marketing team at Skyworks, working closely with sales, business units, and customers to help shape roadmaps, define new products, and develop and execute market strategies aimed at driving revenue and margin growth in one or more end market segments. You will have the opportunity to maximize product portfolio content across Skyworks solutions, offering comprehensive solutions to end customers. Candidates must possess a strong mix of business and technical skills, with the ability to build relationships with peers in engineering, product management, sales, corporate marketing, and other cross-functional groups. To be successful in this role, you must have a self-starter attitude, be able to develop relationships across organizations within Skyworks, influence decision-makers, and help drive stakeholders to common goals. The scope of responsibilities includes leading product marketing strategy within market segments, such as Automotive, tracking market dynamics and technology trends, and ensuring optimized roadmaps. You will serve as the primary marketing interface to sales and customers globally for a defined market segment, create and maintain product positioning in focus market segment applications, and develop and track opportunities with sales to drive them to design wins. Additionally, you will provide data-driven suggestions for application priority teams, contribute to product roadmaps, define new NPI and business cases, create thought leadership and product training content, and develop pricing strategies and negotiations. Supporting activities will also include market segment TAM/SAM modeling, forecasting, collaborating with business unit product line managers on development schedules, and providing recommendations on technology investment and acquisition. This is a key position driving our continued growth in the Automotive and M2M segments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product marketing strategy within market segments, i.e. Automotive
  • Track market dynamics, technology trends, and ensure optimized roadmaps
  • Be the primary marketing interface to sales and customers globally for a defined market segment
  • Create and maintain product positioning in the focus market segment applications
  • Develop and track opportunities with sales, driving them to design wins
  • Provide data-driven suggestions for application priority teams
  • Contribute to product roadmaps, define new NPI and business cases
  • Create thought leadership and product training content
  • Develop pricing strategy and negotiation
  • Conduct market segment TAM/SAM modeling and forecasting
  • Collaborate with business unit product line managers on development schedules
  • Provide recommendations on technology investment and acquisition

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 8+ years of wireless marketing and/or business development experience
  • Experience working with major global wireless semiconductor (RFFE) suppliers
  • Thorough knowledge of market trends and key technology inflection points in 5G wireless
  • Track record of developing customer-facing promotional collateral, product messaging, and competitive positioning
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple product developments and customer engagements globally
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Mandarin speaking is a plus
  • Ability to analyze market reports and relate to customer/market dynamics
  • Familiarity with APAC market dynamics is a plus
  • Experience with mobile operators and customers across markets is a plus
  • Background in application engineering for 5+ years is a plus
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 25% of the time

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in working with products related to SAW/BAW filter, GaAs, HBT PA, SOI Switch, Antenna Control and integration module technologies
  • Familiarity with RFFE reference design
