The Senior Product Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the individual product strategy and creating relevant business cases. This position is accountable for the full product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring that the product aligns with the broader CDK product lines and ecosystem. As the voice of the customer and market for the product organization, the Senior Product Manager ensures that user personas and product requirements are clearly defined and reflected in user stories. Additionally, this role may involve owning and assisting in the development of Epics, working closely with the Scrum Master and agile teams to groom the backlog and make timely decisions regarding product requirement trade-offs. In terms of supervision and autonomy, the Senior Product Manager conducts complex and important work with moderate supervision. They operate with little instruction on day-to-day tasks and receive general guidance on new projects. The role requires analyzing solutions using standard procedures and maintaining awareness of competition and product differentiators. Continuous skill-building in product management is essential, leveraging industry, organizational, and customer knowledge to interpret and drive internal and customer requirements. Leadership is a key aspect of this role, as the Senior Product Manager leads product requirements and collaborates daily with agile teams to define user stories and features (Epics). They act as a resource for junior staff, providing peer-to-peer support. The successful execution of this role has a significant impact on overall product deliverables and can affect cross-connected use cases and related customer and business outcomes. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for translating product vision into prioritized and deliverable features and user stories based on feedback from dealers and customers, as well as analysis of user and buyer personas, to deliver differentiated customer outcomes.
