About The Position

WAGO Corporation is seeking our next Sr. Product Support Engineer - Automation to promote the successful application of WAGO's Automation and Interface products to WAGO employees, distributors, and customers by providing high-quality technical support and training. Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) from an accredited university, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in technical product support, especially in applications of industrial control systems, PLC programming, and industrial control design is preferred
  • Experience in service and support of field equipment within a factory environment
  • A demonstrated ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently and possess strong organizational, communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone and email service/support during WAGO business hours to WAGO employees, distributors, and customers, offering technical instruction on WAGO automation and interface products
  • Record customer service/support details in WAGO's customer database communicating with sales associates of service/support activities
  • Produce product support materials (e.g. application notes, how-to guides, example programs, tutorial videos, etc.) and Demos (trade show panels, programs, etc.) as needed to illustrate the functionality of WAGO Automation and Interface products
  • Participate in training targeted at improving the knowledge and support capabilities of WAGO employees, distributors, and customers
  • Occasional travel (10%) for technical support, and assistance at trade shows. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel by automobile or airplane
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
