About the position
The Sr. Production Engineer will play a crucial role in an early-stage industrial manufacturing plant, focusing on a wide range of responsibilities including process improvement, project management, and machine processes. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and teamwork to drive initiatives and support production operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Handle process and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage projects related to machine processes and CAD designs for parts.
- Provide maintenance escalation support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Support basic electrical and PLC issues with vendor support.
- Assist in production escalation support including setups, takedowns, and changeovers.
- Commission projects and install new equipment for production lines.
- Conduct new product trials and improve manufacturing systems and metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Industrial Engineering (BSIE), Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET), Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET), or a similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience with a proven track record of making impacts and improvements.
- Solid experience in process and problem-solving skills.
