About the position
The Sr. Production Management System Engineer at Nike is responsible for resolving technical and functional issues within warehouse operations, ensuring minimal disruption to services. This role involves programming solutions using SQL and PL/SQL, performing data analysis, and collaborating with various tech teams to support warehouse management systems and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced technical and functional resolution to mitigate warehouse service disruptions.
- Provide technical recommendations and solutions for advanced issues to ensure resolution within business Service Level Agreements.
- Program technical solutions using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Complete complex SQL and PL/SQL queries against large databases for data analysis.
- Aid in functional, technical configuration, and system/application analysis.
- Address issues impacting data flow between warehouse management systems, warehouse control systems, and ERP host systems.
- Collaborate with multi-functional tech teams to support changes and additions to the WMOS Production support team portfolio.
- Support server logs research and perform SQL scripting for issue resolution or data analysis.
- Develop SQL statements to create alerts and implement systemic workarounds for impactful issues.
- Consult with vendors for the development and design of production system bug fixes.
- Participate in new product or service documentation, design, and development concerning warehouse technologies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Experience with Manhattan WMOS.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of distribution center systems.
- Experience with After Action Reviews.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Understanding of SOX processes.
- Experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
