About the position

The Sr. Production Manager - Men's at Fabletics is responsible for overseeing the full product life cycle from concept to execution in production. This role involves collaboration with various teams to optimize production processes, manage purchase orders, and ensure product quality and compliance with vendor standards. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem-solver with extensive experience in fashion production, particularly in men's activewear.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly buy release and PO creation to vendors against the global calendar
  • Position greige and core fabrications for pre-bookings
  • Execute style changes with vendors, ensuring that impacts on delivery and cost are communicated to internal stakeholders
  • Proactively head off production issues with thorough understanding of construction, testing, and apparel compliance
  • Manage bookings and deliveries for wholesale accounts, creating label and packing instructions as needed
  • Understand transit times and lead times for each shipping lane to plan X-factory dates and negotiate on-time deliveries
  • Oversee PO creation with an offshore team, ensuring POs are accurate and reflect all changes
  • Review weekly WIP for accuracy and monthly production status; follow up on pending approvals with internal and external partners
  • Manage a capacity file, actualizing monthly bookings against forecast for each vendor
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards by conducting development testing and reviewing QA inspection reports before goods ship
  • Review vendor compliance chargebacks for late bookings and handovers
  • Travel internationally to visit vendors 2-3 times per year

Requirements

  • 7+ years of production experience in fashion or apparel manufacturing, preferably in Men's activewear
  • 5+ years of experience working in PLM and purchase order creation systems
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Apparel Manufacturing, Product Development, or Merchandising
  • Ability to mentor a team and collaborate well with cross-functional partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including lookup functions and pivot tables
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with both domestic and overseas vendors, particularly knits and wovens
  • Fluency in a second language such as Spanish, Chinese, or Vietnamese is a plus
